Get ready for a fun, fast-paced football season that brings the community together! Gladesville Sharks Summer Soccer is back for 2025, offering an exciting mid-week competition for players of all ages and skill levels. Whether you’re looking to stay match-fit in the off-season, keep the kids active, or enjoy a run-around with friends, our competition is the perfect way to enjoy football in a social, friendly environment.

Key Dates

  • Team nominations due: 31 August 2025 (first received, first accepted)
  • Team registration form returned by: 12 September 2025


Submitting by the due date does not guarantee a place if the competition is already full.

Competition Format

  • The number of divisions and match nights will be set once nominations close.
  • Teams may be graded into a higher age group if there aren’t enough teams in their age band.
  • On your nomination form, list your preferred division and night — we’ll use this as a guide only.
  • All teams receive an equal share of early kick-offs across the season.

Team Player Registration

  • Minimum 6 players must be fully registered and paid before Game 1.
  • No cap on squad size (register as many players as you like).
  • Payment is required at the time of registration via Play Football.
  • Once your team is accepted, we’ll send you the competition rules and a team registration form to complete and return by 12 September.
  • Players will then be able to register via PlayFootball

Match Balls & Equipment

  • Each team will be issued one complimentary ball prior to its first match.
  • For subsequent games, each team must supply one match ball (correctly inflated) for every game.
  • Clearly mark your ball with your team name. We can’t accept responsibility for lost or stolen balls.

Ground Setup & Pack-Down

  • Fields are dressed by the grounds crew before play.
  • Teams in the last time slot on each field are responsible for packing down.

Footwear Policy (No Studs or Blades)

By nominating, you agree to inform all players that any type of stud or blade is strictly prohibited.

Players wearing studs/blades will receive a red card. The referee or Gladesville Summer Soccer officials will determine what constitutes a stud or blade, and their decision is final.

  • Managers must ensure every player is aware of this rule.
  • Players who disagree with a decision may deregister from the competition — registration fees are non-refundable.

Discipline

  • Red cards: handled by North West Sydney Football (NWSF).
  • Yellow cards: handled by the Gladesville Summer Soccer Committee.
  • Three (3) yellow cards = an automatic one-match suspension (next scheduled game).

Player Eligibility

Contracted players are not permitted in this competition.

Draw & Fixtures

The season draw will be distributed after registrations close.

How to Get Involved

  1. Submit your team nomination (first in, first accepted).
  2. Wait for acceptance confirmation from Joe Calvi
  3. Complete and return your team registration form by 12 September.
  4. Ensure a minimum of six players are registered and paid on Play Football before your first game.

Game Duration
24 min U6 – U7: 2 x 13 min halves (Non Competitive)
30 min U8 – U11: 2 x 15 min halves (Non Competitive)
30 min U12 – AA: 2 x 15 min halves

Juniors & Youth $108 (includes $8 FFA Fee)
U17-U18 $168 (includes $8 FFA Fee)
Seniors (+19yo) $188 (includes $28 FFA Fee)
Managers (Seniors) $128 (includes $28 FFA Fee)
