What Sets Our Holiday Camp Apart?
There are plenty of school holiday soccer camps—but none like this!
Many holiday camps rely on junior coaches with limited player development experience. At Gladesville Sharks FC, we combine both. School of Sharks Holiday Camp blends structured skill development with plenty of fun. Led by Tom Fay and his expert coaching team, players build confidence, sharpen their skills, and enjoy every session.
Here’s why we stand out:
Highly Experienced Coaching – Sessions run by highly qualified professionals with decades of experience
Skill-Focused Training – Targeted development in dribbling, passing, shooting, and tactical play
Small Coach-to-Player Ratio – More personalised coaching to accelerate learning
Game-Based Learning – Real match scenarios to enhance decision-making and teamwork
Structured Progression – A professional training methodology designed to improve confidence & ability

The Expert Behind Our TRAINING Academy
Football has been part of my life since I was five, and I have been obsessed with the game from day one. I started at Wakehurst FC and progressed into the Manly United SAP program, before a breakout season in the under 14s saw me step up early and debut for Manly United’s under 18s at just 14.
I was honoured to receive the Lucas Neal Award at Manly’s Presentation Day, then selected for the inaugural Sydney FC Academy under 14s squad. At 18, I achieved a career highlight with selection for the Young Socceroos, representing Australia on tour through Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, an experience I will never forget.
After returning home, I trained with the Sydney FC A-League squad alongside players like Caceres and Ninkovic, learning firsthand what elite standards look like day-to-day. In 2023, an ACL injury during an Australia Cup match tested me in every way, but the rehab built real resilience and sharpened my perspective.
Coming back onto the field, supported by family, teammates and the players I coach, reignited my love for the game. Today, I bring that same passion into coaching, focusing on development, confidence, and helping young players grow through strong habits and a positive environment.

Gladesville Sharks FC School Holiday Football Camp– FAQs
What happens if it rains?
In case of bad weather we will move the day to a nearby indoor facility, i.e. Putney Scout Hall. Whilst we won’t be able to play football, we’ll provide a range of fun indoor activities and movies to keep the kids entertained. You will be notified by 8:00 AM if there is to be a wet weather contingency plan.
Who are the coaches?
Our program is led by experienced coaches Tom Fay, Patrick Morsella & Will Rangel who bring a wealth of knowledge in technical, tactical, and strategic aspects of football.
What is the player-to-coach ratio?
Each session will maintain a 10-13 players per coach ratio to ensure personalised training and effective skill development.
What should my child bring?
Your child will need football boots/runners, shin pads, a hat, sunscreen, packed lunch, snacks and water bottle.
Will lunch be provided?
Will there be snacks and drinks available for purchase?
Yes! The canteen will be stocked with non-perishable items such as drinks, chocolates, chips, and lollies for purchase. Please note that hot or fresh food for lunch will not be available.
Can my child be in the same group as their friend?
We will do our best to accommodate requests for players to be in the same group as their friends.
Do I need to sign my child in and out each day?
Yes. On the first morning, parents must arrive at 8:30 AM to sign their child into the program and collect their kit. On the second and third days, parents must still sign their child in upon arrival each morning. At the end of each day, parents must collect their child from their coach and sign them out.
What if I can’t collect or sign out my child on one or more days?
If you are unavailable, you can nominate up to three authorised individuals to collect your child. This must be done via an Authorisation Form completed on the first day. You can also nominate for your child to make their own way home. Parents must ensure their child is collected within 15 minutes of the clinic finishing, or additional charges may apply for extended supervision.
Are all staff members Working with Children checked?
Yes. All coaching staff and supervisors hold valid Working with Children Checks, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all participants.
What should I do if my child has a medical condition or allergies?
During registration, you will be asked to provide details of any medical conditions, allergies, or medication needs. Any medication that requires administration must be signed in and out by an authorised adult each day. Medication must be in its original packaging, clearly labelled with the participant’s name and instructions for use.
If your child has learning or behavioural difficulties, please inform the coaching staff to ensure they receive the necessary support for successful inclusion in the program.
What happens if my child gets sick or injured during the clinic?
Minor injuries will be treated on-site, and children will be allowed to return to play if deemed fit. If a child is unfit to continue, they will be supervised until an authorised adult arrives. For serious incidents, emergency assistance will be sought immediately, and parents will be informed as soon as possible.
All medical incidents will be documented, and parents must sign an Incident/Accident Form upon collection of their child. If a child misses part of the clinic due to injury, they will receive a credit towards the next holiday program (not a refund).
Does the program provide personal accident insurance?
Through Football Federation Australia’s (FFA) National Insurance Program, cover is provided to all Gladesville Sharks registered players for the 2025 Winter Season. This includes participation in the School of Sharks Holiday Camp.
If your child is not registered for the winter season, we strongly recommend having private health insurance and ambulance cover, as any medical costs incurred will be the responsibility of the parent or guardian.
